video National Night Out 2016!

National Night Out Day is observed annually on the first Tuesday in August. It is a community police awareness-raising event in the United States.National Night Out has been celebrated since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town-Watch in the United States and Canada.

National Night Out was created to increase awareness about police programs in communities.

Some of these programs include:

  • Drug prevention
  • Town watch
  • Neighborhood watch
  • Other anti=watch

 

This event is  FREE to  venders and to the community! It is a great opportunity for community members to receive important, up-to-date information on; social services, health services, education, insurance and much more. Lots of tables offering different services and resources like: Hudson Valley Housing, Planned Parenthood, MARC agency for addiction and recovery, and of course…..your’s truly….MISN!

There were so many activities for children of all ages: A firetruck demonstration, Police dog demonstration, Animal adoption petting area and of course….BeeBee The Clown!
